6 Lessons From a Mentor Who Made $1 Million in a Month Part 1
Mentors should play a strong role in your progression towards your goals. Every successful person I’ve met, interviewed or read about at one point had someone who was smarter, more experienced and wealthier than they are, regardless of how successful they are.
But guess what? Even mentors get blocks! That’s right. They’re human. They get held back by their own ‘stuff’. So, don’t be too hard on yourself if you know if you’ve been holding yourself back. The first step, is to identify that is even the case!
What I have for you in today’s post are the lessons I learned from a private coaching call I had with a mentor of mine (who wishes to remain anonymous). He shared freely and unreservedly about his own journey and growth through his projects. It’s quite amazing, because what I noticed is the same sort of ‘junk’ runs through most peoples heads regardless of whether it is only a small project or if they are playing a bigger game! It’s how you deal with it that counts.
For anonymity, we’re going to call my mentor Mystery Mentor (MM)

My Top 9 I-Phone Apps That Enhance Your Business, Relationships and Life
It’s been several months now since I’ve joined the I-phone clan, and I can resoundingly say it has changed my life and business for the better, with all it’s amazing capabilities.
In this article, I’m going to share with you the Top 10 apps I’ve come across (both free and paid), that have made a significant difference for me, either in business, internet, productivity, lifestyle or relationships.
I’ve tested hundreds of the most popular and most downloaded apps from itunes, and scanned through reviews and video’s of hundreds more. You can be confident I’ve given a large majority of apps consideration when putting together this list.
This App puts all your google accounts in one place: calendar, docs, talk, tasks, reader, notebook and more! Many of them have been modified to perform best on your iphone, so enjoy the simplified layouts and fast speed. It’s free and an absolutely essential addition to your iphone. The voice recognition software for google searches means you don’t have to bumble around typing stuff when you’re out and about. Just speak and google will spit back exactly what you’re after.
My Key Business Criteria For (F.A.S.T.)2 Profits!
Entrepreneurs are usually full of great ideas. Lots of them.
And if you’ve even had a mild taste of success, you’ll find more and more opportunities come to your desk every day, each promising good returns. Someone like Donald Trump would get hundreds of people knocking on his (well gate-kept) door to do projects with.
My question to you is, do you have a system of identifying what projects you choose and what you don’t choose? I ask this question as it is one that I have been and regularly face when people come to me for joint ventures, and it’s forced me to look at specifically what I want out of business, and life.
And at a recent mastermind group, my peers shared their thoughts on not being clear about what you want. Because this is a guaranteed way to get nowhere fast.
So I’ve tried to keep it simple, and used the acronym…. (F.A.S.T.)2!
Automation and Outsourcing For Business Part #3
This is part 3 of the series. Get Part 1 here and Part 2 here.
In the Product Launch Formula 2 launch (I don’t know if it was a marketing ploy or not) the website that Jeff had ready to go at launch was down! Thousands of people came to buy, and there was NOTHING available!
We’ll never know if it was deliberate or not. However, if it was legitimately valid tech issue, then if you don’t have a techie on hand and people are coming to your site ready to buy, you are literally losing thousands of dollars (in Jeff’s case millions potentially)!
You’ll also lose a bunch of customers.
So, if you find someone who’s good, using these contracting sites, pay them more than they expect when the job is done. That creates an instant loyalty.
Automation and Outsourcing For Your Business Part #2
This is part 2 in a 3 part series. Read Part 1 here.
Consider getting a tech person. That is the #1 area that you should first look to outsource. So what skills should they have? when I first started looking, I had no idea.
I asked some of my colleagues who were doing it, and they shed some light on what’s worked for them. Here’s what’s worked for me, and with this range of skills, I’m confident your worker will be able to fulfill most if not all of your technical requests:
You could ask for a ‘Web Developer’. This title encompasses a range of skills. The main ones you’ll need are:
– Skills in coding php, html, css
Automation and Outsourcing for Your Business Part #1
Some of you may know me for my work on outsourcing. I’ve spoken from the stage on several occasions about this topic, and it’s had a significant impact on the way I run my business. Before I started doing it, I was banging my head on the wall trying to do everything myself and getting nowhere fast. Since I’ve been able to leverage my more valuable skill sets by outsourcing the lower value skill sets, I’ve been able to achieve much more.
And lately I’ve had alot of people come to me to ask about how to more efficiently achieve an outcome through better systems or more efficient processes.
So I’ve put together a three part series sharing some of my thoughts on the topic. It’s by no means super comprehensive, but I will share some gems to get you started.
I’m a big believer that lifestyle is important. If you’ve chosen the Internet as a lifestyle and you’re working on it as if you were working on a job, then you probably need to reevaluate your strategy.
The first step I’d recommend is checking out Tim Ferriss, who wrote The Four-Hour Work Week. That will definitely give you a mindset rock. Tim’s mind is really cool in terms of being lazy; I love being lazy as well. Not as lazy as Tim, I work a little more than four hours a week, but I don’t see it as work; I see it as play. When I’m in front of the computer, I’m having a great time.
Networking Case Study: My First Big Joint Venture Pocketed Over $35K

I’m often asked ‘How did you meet your first JV partner?’
Meeting Joint Venture partners has been worth tens of thousands of dollars to me, none of which would have eventuated had I not been out on the playing field meeting people! In this blog post I’d like to tell you the process. My partner wishes to remain anonymous.
What I did was contact them through their site through email, to start building a relationship, so they got to know who I was.
I told them a little bit about what I do. I signed up for their email list and I found out they were running some workshops. At the time these workshops cost quite a lot of money to attend. I was happy to pay the money, to go and meet them and to learn what they had to teach.
For me, it was a process of being able to commit to actually putting some money down to go and meet them, for them to get to know me, and put my face out there. I met a lot of other people at those workshops and seminars as well, and subsequently I saw them in other seminars.
How To Consume Thrice The Information in a Third of the Time

During the start of my Personal Development Journey, I once heard Zig Ziglar say ‘turn your car into a university on wheels’. Almost 10 years later, I’ve fully embraced that philosophy and had the pleasure of learning from some of the world’s best minds in my transit time.
The average ‘working’ person spends 1.5 – 2 hours in their car PER DAY, which translates into 40 hours per month, or 480 hours per year! This is the equivalent of 15, yes you read right – FIFTEEN – University Semester courses you could have taken!
Tim Ferriss, in the updated and expanded edition of the Four Hour Work Week which I just finished, wrote of people becoming fluent in multiple languages, just by having language learning courses in their car!! How cool is that?
In this article, I’m going to share with you how I get even more bang for my buck.
How To Get Interviews From Wildly Wealthy and Successful People
Lately I’ve been asked alot how I got to interview so many great experts.
If you’ve never heard of me before, I’ve interviewed over 30 gurus and experts in all areas including, bestselling authors, movie stars, investors, business owners, speakers and more from all over the world. The beautiful thing is, when I first started nobody had ever heard of me. So, how did I manage to score so many high profile interviewees?
I’ll share some of my insights with you in this article.
First, start by practising with one of your friends. Watch Oprah. Watch Barbara Walters. Or any other well respected interviewer you like, and see how they seamlessly carry on a flowing conversation without really knowing much about the topic at all!

Once you’re confident you can start the following process
